Off and on I will be writing about my visit to Malta. I try to go there at least every two years. First of all, to visit my family and second, to reconnect with my time here, in the past and to see the changes that have been happening since the time I left.
I was born in Malta, a long time ago. My mom and dad brought me, as well as my sister, to New York . My dad wanted to make life better for us and, in Malta, after the war, (World War II) , there wasn’t much happening. We ended up in Brooklyn and I had a wonderful life growing up there.
It’s now many years later and I am enjoying my retirement in Venice, Florida. I visited Malta this past summer and the changes there are amazing. It is now a fantastic tourist destination. It has been, for Europeans, for a while but now, American cruise ships have included Malta as a stop on Mediterranean cruises and it has become a favorite spot to visit for many Americans. I will continue telling you about my last visit there, and maybe even previous visits, in future blogs. I hope you get to visit Malta. It is a beautiful island with very nice people. You would love it there!
